Look for a refinance offer

Describe the car and the loan in five answers. Lenditia sends your request to auto lenders, car dealers and loan brokers, who may contact you with financing options. Nothing is agreed until you sign a contract with one of them.

  1. 1 The car, the amount, your credit and ZIP code.
  2. 2 Your name, phone, email and consent to be contacted.
  3. 3 An auto lender, car dealer or loan broker may call, text or email you. Compare any offer by APR and total cost before you sign.

Step 1 of 2

The car and the loan

After your down payment and trade-in.

A guess is fine. Lenders check it themselves.

When do you need the money?

Sending a request costs you nothing. Lenditia is not a lender and is paid by the auto lenders, car dealers and loan brokers who receive requests; they set their own rates and terms. How we make money.

How the comparison works

The calculator builds both schedules month by month. It adds up every payment left on your current loan and every payment on the new one, and subtracts any fees you pay in cash. Fees added to the loan are included in the new balance, so you pay interest on them too. "Saved after fees" is the difference in everything you would pay from today.

For example, $20,000 at 11% with 48 months left costs $516.91 a month. Refinancing at 6.5% over the same 48 months brings the payment to $474.30 and saves about $2,045 if there are no fees.

When a lower payment costs more

Stretching the term lowers the payment even when the rate barely moves, but the extra months add interest. If "Saved after fees" shows "None", the refinance costs more over the life of the loan. Our guide to auto refinancing covers when it pays and what lenders look at.
